Need Advice On Airbag Light....

hi, i recently bought a mark 2 mondeo (p-reg) 1.8 lx and a few days later an airbag warning light has appeared on the dash.

it flashes 4 times then there is a pause then flashes 4 times and so on.

does anyone have any idea what it could mean or have a solution to this??

    check the wiring plugs under the front seats,undo the plugs leave for a couple of mins and then reconnect and turn on ignition, with any luck the light will have stopped flashing.
