Mk3 V6 Mondeo Auto

Featured Replies

Can anyone help please? My Auto Mondeo at low speeds @(30/40) in either 4/5 gear starts to miss fire. As soon as you change down gear it stops. At 30 in 4th this never use to be a problem. What's the fault I need to be looking for?

it is a missfire and not a judder isnt it? just thinking of the dual mass flywheel at low revs if u are trying to accelerate!

Thanks Chris, is it a big job?

unfortunately a very big job, good idea to replace clutch, dual mass flywheel and clutch master cylinder as they are all inside the gearbox! unfortunate problem to have. do u get vibration when u accelerate and if the car is in neutral, and u pump the clutch pedal is there a change in tone from the engine?

a clutch on an auto? i would look towards a plug, lead or coilpack.

sorry missed the auto part in the first post! doh!
