Knocking Noise

There's a dull knocking noise coming from the front and rear suspension when I go over rough bits of road (most roads are rough here). I heard that the anti-roll bar bushes are a problem in that they go all the time, so is this noise most likely to be this or is there another common thing that causes this noise. As I know it's there I listen for it and so now it's starting to 'P' me off.
