    Hi, same boat as you Hilary with regards new car.

    Feeling a bit sore just now as the ECU on my C Max went kaput a few weeks back and it was too costly to fix (at least £1100), especially considering there is no doubt an underlying fault that also needs fixed. Anyway, the dealer agreed to give me a trade-in value so I have ordered a new Fiesta Zetec.

    Ford ain't high on my list of faves just now but on this occasion I've no choice but to go with them again or face possible endless bills getting the C Max fixed. Here's hoping this wee car will restore my faith. Looking forward to 1st March to be independently mobile again.
