Poor Accelaration

Featured Replies

Hi, getting quite frustrated by a problem i have with my 2.0l petrol mondeo mk3 on an o2 plate, done 65000 miles with full main dealer service. when cold i have trouble in pulling away and have to keep the revs up to move off and she sounds quite lumpy. also she hesitates on acceleration. changed HT leads, checked for any loose connections etc that i can find but to no avail... when at speed she doesnt miss a beat and tick over is also fine. please, any ideas more than welcome

You might have a faulty lambda probe, check fault codes whit a OBDII reader.

I wonder if your car is still running on the original plugs. May be worth a look.

Fuel filter may not have been changed also.
