Fuelpump

Featured Replies

I have a 1.8 w reg turbo fiesta, Have been told that it needs a new fuel pump, the cheapest i have been quoted is £400.00 for a 2nd hand unit. does anyone on here know where i could possibly get my pump reconditioned or does anyone know of a way to by pass the computer/immobiliser at all, i have spent days trying to find a pump but at the price quoted it makes the car not cost effective to repair. I am hoping someone can save my car from the scrap yard, any advice would be gratefully received thanks in anticipation. graham

i would make sure it is the fuelpump...i had an aa guy out who said it was the fuel pump when it was the fuel filter rubber gasket letting air in.

you can check the fuel pump by sucking on the fuel line that goes to the tank...fuel comes through pump is fine, if not its knackered.

thats how i got told by a bus mech, so im going to stick with it. diesel just tastes like vegetable oil with a twist haha
