hi back again 97 escort 115 bhp cabriolet

i'm havin a real problem with starting the car.

The car will turn over sometimes other times just click badly if i hit fuse board it then will change from one to other (start relay poss?)

sometimes when driving and running car cuts out just like missfire.

Now i had this cut out thing before with a 91 xr2i found out it was earth or neg on the ecu.

1 is it a ecu prob or is it relay prob

2 what color is the neg or earth on the ecu i can run a new neg if i knew what color it was

can anyone help me please.
