Zetec S Sideskirts

Featured Replies

Hi People hope someone can help, i have Mk7 Zetec S while washing the car other day Drivers side jacking point cover came off. I put it back on but lost it. My questions are anyone else with mk7 had same problem? Had service yesterday at ford mentioned it they have screwed passenger side one on inside bottom wheel arch (should it have already been done from new) as the whole etc was there like should be fixed on? To me they should been fixed on let me know. They fixed it on with silver washer & screw on a black car

Anyone know where i can get drivers side cover?

To be honest, they are a pain to get off, you think your going to break something whilst doing it. I've had mine off a few times and they are all still there, solid as a rock and I don't see how or why they need to be fixed mechanically.

Had the cover or the location had any tabs broke off previously as that is the only way I could imagine them falling off, either that or someone pinching it, but there again you say it kept falling off whilst washing.

Mine have small black retaining straps so when I take them off they just dangle down a sutible lenght so you can get the jack in they way you dont lose them. The rear of my passanger side sideskirt is lose and dont know who that attaches.

both sides at he front the whole side skirt was loose but only near where the jacking point cover are, first time having a ford so would not know. so even those there is a hole there to screw it on should not be needed?

Keith have you got the side skirts? if you do Can you take a picture of them at front drivers side so i can see the end of them and the bit inside wheel arch to see how there connected.

Thanks

You'll have to wait till I get home from work, as the Fiesta is at home. Will post them up later this afternoon.

Hello Jamie yes they do have a cover at the end which faces into the front wheel arch. I don't know how to post pictures on here so can't show u I'm afraid.

Thanks Mark, do you know where i can get drivers side cover? Yours just clipped on? Ford said screwed passenger side as sideskirt was loose...confused surely just needed clipped on properly

I remember somebody saying you need to buy a whole new side skirt, which i think is a bit of a silly move by Ford. I'm not sure how they are attached. I dare not touch it to find out :)

Yes thats what Ford said need to buy the kit. If you look in wheel arch at he cover is it screwed on or just the hole middle of cover?

I'm slightly confused now. Which bit are you missing as the jacking point cover is part B in photo below.

Mine have small black retaining straps so when I take them off they just dangle down a sutible lenght so you can get the jack in they way you dont lose them. The rear of my passanger side sideskirt is lose and dont know who that attaches.

So is mine, and because it is loose, it causes the removable jacking point to keep dangling off.

You can only buy 'A' from Ford as part of the whole skirt - you will need to look at scrapyards for it.

Can anyone tell me the name of part A from the picture? I will need to see some scrapyards around here but i am doubtful. Stupid move on Fords part not selling the part you have to buy the whole side skirt.....shocking

Best description would be Side Skirt End Cap.

partsgateway.com might be useful - you get quotes from 6/7 Ford scrapyards.

post-62955-142403065537_thumb.jpg washed my car earlier and realised that at the back of my sideskirt it has came away from the body, looked at the other side and it tight up to body? Any body know what I can do to get it back? Are they clips or is it something else?
