Escort Van 55 Diesel Pump Query

Featured Replies

We have a Ford Escort Van 55 (2000, W Reg) and the Diesel pump has broke. We have been told to get another Diesel pump from a car breakers yard & have been advised that the Diesel pumps off the older Escort Vans are better as they don't have an immobiliser on them. Will an older Diesel pump be compatable with our van? We wasnt thinking of getting a Diesel pump off anything older than 1990?

Thanks

I believe that the diesel pump from the older model is fine to use.

Yes you want a pre PATS one else you will need the key. ignition PATS reader as well as the new pump.

Basically if the car/van you remove it from does NOT have a chip in the key for it, it will be fine.
