HI ALL HOPE SOME ONE CAN HELP ME. I AM FEMALE AS YOU CAN GUESS AND I REALLY DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. I HAVE HAD MY BELOVED STREET KA NEARLY 4 YEARS IN FEB BOUGHT IT NEW. AND THE GASKET HEAD WENT YESTERDAY.. MY CAR HAS ONLY DONE 21,OOO MILES AND HAVE ALWAYS HAD IT SERVICED IN FACT IT PAST IT TEST WITH FLYING COLOURS. WHEN IT BROKE DOWN YESTERDAY I PHONED MY DEALERS ( FORDS) AND THEY SAID I HAD NO WARRANTY, I AM SHOCKED THEY ARE ASKING FOR £800. ITS GOING TO BE A BLEAK CHRISTMAS. HAS ANYONE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND IF SO WHAT DID YOU DO ??

thats ford dealers for you, unfortunatley you only get a three year warrenty on a new car regardless of milage covered and £800 for a head gasket fitment they shoud rename themselves frauds. go to another garage you should get the job done alot cheaper than £800.

Local garages quote about £300 its still harsh but better than ford dealers.

cheers guy's i have been to several and they are all quoting me the same price ! i really cant believe the gasket wold go after such low mileage. But thank for your help much appreciated :)
