Turbo Noise 1.8Tdci 07 C-Max

Featured Replies

Hiya all.

When driveing my 07 1.8 tdci cmax at abot 2000 rpm, i am getting what sounds like the fan coming on. This only happens when im driveing and now and again the the engine management light comes on. I have read in other forums that this could be a split in a turbo pipe or a intercooler pipe, but these forums have all been mondeos or focuses. I have removed the main air intake pipe coming from the filter this seems fine, the bearing and impelers on the turbo seems fine. It also has a intercooler on the back of the engine and guess what these pipes have no real evidence of leaks, although they are harder to see. I wondered if anyone has had the same symtoms and what fixed it.

Any help be greatly appreciated.

Cheers guys
