2.0 Dohc

Featured Replies

I have abandond my Essex V6 and have decided to replace it with a 2.0 DOHC injection lump from a Sierra.

I am aware that I will have to make numerous modifications to get everything connected up correctly.

I will have to modify my clutch pedal as the new system is cable and mine was hydraulic.

I think the electrics should be pretty straight forward as the new engine is comming with its loom ecu & coil.

I am concerned about 2 things. The cooling system I think is opposit way round to mine and the sump I believe is at the rear of the engine and mine was at the front. This is because the power steering ram is directly behind the crossmember.

Can anyone give me some advice please. I would especially like to know where the top & bottom hoses are on the DOHC engine and where the hoses for the heater connect to it.

Thanks
