Blower Not Working

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have a X reg modeo Mk2 with a blower that no longer delivers a breeze of any description. The air con light no longer lights either. I have checked all the fuses and they are OK. After looking through the forums noticed conversations about resistor pack so changed it and still no joy.

Question: Is there a grounding issue or is there a direct link to the air con system itself that is preventing the blower from working?

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Cheers Mike

its a known fault on the mk2 for the wiring to burn out near to the resister pack plug so check here first,if all is ok i would check if there is power getting to the switch as it could be faulty.

Thanks mintalkin for the response it lead me in the right direction. There was no power and found that R14 had failed which is located beside the inside fuses. Swapped it with the relay for the rear window heater and blower kicked into life. Cheers and no more misty windscreens.
