Looks like the front discs/pads need changing on my Ka. Trying to work out which size discs i need - but local parts supplier http://www.wilcodirect.co.uk/index.php?main_page=stores#WILN09 seem a bit vague on which discs i need. 54 plate KA is down as 20mm max / 18mm min discs (looks like earlier models had 12mm discs?). EBC lookup http://www.ebcbrakesdirect.com/car/ tells me i need 240mm diameter discs. Local supplier tells me i need to pick between 239.7mm dia (12mm), 239.5mm dia (22mm) or 258.2dia (20mm) discs.

Thanks - helpful - but doesn't marry up with any of the options being offered by the supplier..! I may try elsewhere... Assume differences of less than 1mm on diameter are irrelevant?

239.5 dia (22mm) usually used by 1.3 engine

258.2 dia (20mm) usually used on 1.6 engine

this could be the confusion at the supplier.

take wheel off and measure across disk cant remember if vented or not

i think they single non vented ones you will know when you take wheel of

if vented they will look like 2 disks together
