Ford KA Fuse Blows when AC is ON

Featured Replies

I have a Ford KA 2001 and I have a problem where the 10 Amp Fuse (number 17) keeps on blowing when Aircon is ON resulting in Dead Instrument Panel and no Ignition. Replacing the Fuse and Turning OFF the Aircon works fine with no further problem. I have replaced the 10 Amp fuse with a 25 Amp fuse and that didn’t work as well.

Please help as to what might be the reason?

Thanks in Advance for the information.

Had the same problem.

It’s the engine mounts in practically the left hand side.

If the mount are completely worn the engine under torque will move causing stress for A/C piping or electrical. After replacing the mount the A/C been fine.
