Engine Water In Driver's Side Footwell

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I have a May 2000 Mondeo Verona, 1.8 petrol Zetec.

This issue is a bit of a mystery to me. I have engine water in the driver side footwell and assumed that the heater matrix was at fault. I took it out, checked it and there doesn't seem to be any leak. In any case, it sits in a plastic bath with a drain to the outside so i cant see how it could direct water to the footwell. Is there any other way that engine water can get inside the drivers side footwell? - defo engine water cos its got that antifreeze smell and my coolant level has dropped loads as spoon as I filled it up and went for a run. Weird but your advice would be really appreciated,

thanks

Stew

Probably a leak from the hose where it connects to the pipe going through the bulkhead
