Replaced Lower Beam Bulb Car Wont Start!?

Featured Replies

Hi all I hope someone can help with this weird problem.

I replaced a blown bulb a Front Nearside lower beam in my Mondeo 2.0 Titanium X TDCi. When I went to start the car a clicking sound the wipers went slowly across the windscreen then the battery went flat in less than ten seconds. There is no power whatsoever indicated in the vehicle it as if all battery power was sucked out in one go. Has anyone got any idea what the problem may be.

Many thanks in advance Ron

did you have your lights turned on whilst changing the 1 bulb? sounds like you've flaternd the battery, try a jump start.

Thanks for your reply Fishpond it is very much appreciated.

I didn't have the lights on when changing the battery all appliances/services were off. It has since transpired that the battery had indeed died it would not take a charge and I have now replaced it. Everything seems to be running fine now. :)

Thanks again

Ron

Result, glad you sorted it, better now than when the cold weather sets in, thats the batter killer time.
