Hope it helps mate.

If anyone else has any ifo on the 2002 Mondeo stereo converting from a 6006CD to a 6000CD please advise this Gentleman.

If its the earlier version I replaced the evil 6006e on my 2001 Y-reg Focus Ghia with another evil 6006e from a 2002 Mondeo on a 52-reg, got fed up with it when it turned bad on me. Out it came and the single 6000 Cd went in along with a connect2 for ipod connectivity. Brill could flick through the tracks via the controls up at the wheel. I think they did a double din version too but only seen it in C-max's, early Kuga's and Transit minibuses! Hope this is helpful!

Hi Pete.

Have you got a picture of the 6000cd you have fitted.

Wondering if it is out of a late model as I had been told that the stereo's out of later models would not fit a 2002 due a change in the cradle behind the consol fascia.

I would like to fit 1 out of a later model with an AUX button on it, so I can run my Iphone through it.

Regards

Simon

I fitted a 2004 model no aux button

Dam was hoping you were going to tell me what I wanted to hear.

Think I'll post it and see what response I get.

Thanks anyway.

The big change is to the surround as its a standard sized slot you need to change the surround to the later "Square" and then the later model will fit, at least that was what I was told by my local car audio specialist, also you may need a wiring adapter
