Mk1 Ford Escort Mexico Model Info

Featured Replies

Evening peeps,

First post on the Ford Owners Club, nice to meet you all :)

Anyway, i've recently acquired a model MK1 Ford Escort Mexico model car made what i think is tin. It looks a bit worse for wear at the moment but i don't want to clean it or anything just incase i ruin it if it's rare etc. I have scoured the internet for the past 2-3 days but cannot find any information whatsoever so i believe it could be pretty unique. So moving on.. It is around 13-14'' from back bumper to the front & around 5-6'' wide, finished in what i believe is white but looks as if the paint has faded over the years. Has a red stripe going from the back of the boot, each side & each side on the roof. Has (i think) hard rubber/plastic wheels. Underneath, there is a stamp marking with just two characters 'K9'. Anyone know what that means?

I have enclosed a few pics of it within this post. (Apologies if it's too many but i'm dying it know any info on this model).

Take a look & get back to me with anything you know. Hope there is someone out there who can help.

Much appreciated.

Im sure I have seen similar in TKMAX recently. They do several models that look out of shape and bashed up based on old cars.
