Rear Passenger Door Not Locking On Focus

Featured Replies

We have recently noticed that rear passenger is not locking with the central locking ( using remote and driver door). Also, it will not lock from inside as the button is jammed. We need to get fixed quickly as we are selling so any suggestions greatly appreciated. Easy for a mechanic to fix or will it need to go to Ford garage?

Hi Kath

and welcome

Should be an easy fix , it will either be the Drive motor , broken wire (check for power) or linkages all are easy to fit if you take the door card off , parts you can get from a scrap yard , Ford will charge alot more so it is worth taking a look yourself first.

Thanks preee. I was hoping it would be something fairly simple as manually it doesn't work either. And I was hoping it wouldn't be to do with the central locking system so your reply is much apprecited, thank you!

Your welcome , i hope its a simple fix
