dougdevos
I've got a 1998 55 diesel van that has an occasional starting problem. Sometimes the key start doesn't operate. I've changed the key switch, changed the starter motor, & wired the starter solenoid on a direct switch. When this switch is operated it turns the starter but the engine doesn't fire. Is there a security device in the ignition cicuit which disables the fuel cutoff solenoid & so stops the engine starting, even when the starter is operated directly?
