A Bizzare Fault

Featured Replies

Hi guys and girls

First off I am not car technical so please if you can help keep it simple

I have a 57 plate ford focus zetec sports s tdci, and it has developed a really strange fault, when ever I accelerate hard the screen blowers come on as if it is on full blast ( normally about 2000 rpm),

The car has just had a full service and when plugged in no issue was diagnosed, there is no performance issues and no loss of power.

If anyone can help, I would be great full as its more an annoying fault then a problem

Hi and Welcome to FOC.

yes very Bizarre fault , sounds kinda like the guy who put your car together was a secret convertable fan and wanted the wind through his hair when driving faster ,lol

I would imagine it's a loose connection , does your's have climate or is it the dials

It has a/c but all the heating controls are dials, really don't want to go to ford as they want silly money just to look at it,

I would pull out the controls , and unplug the wiring and then back in , it could also be a faulty switch , grab yourself a Haynes manual and save some money , if it is a faulty switch you can pick them up cheap on Fleabay
