Engine?

Featured Replies

hey guys, i got a 1.4 fiesta "silver" i got a friend who breaks cars and he told me he would sell the Engine off the ST he just recived for £300 only 10k miles... I was like  interesting... But then my brain kicked in and thought how the hell is it going to fit. Now some people said it might just pop in fine and some said no chance. I would be interested in doing it/getting it fitted just for fun track days or something...

Is it actually physically possible to drop a 1.4 and replace with a St 2.0 engine?

I personally dont think it is but....

Rob

If its come out of the same MK car then yea definately, if its out of a different shape then yea but maybe a bit more work. At that price you gotta get it but remember you will need all the wiring ecu and loom etc plus a few other bits. I deally a donor car is the best way to go.

hi vinny, yeah its an ST mk6 and i have a Mk6 as well. As i say, the st is a right off (nothing left of the a$$) i can get all the parts required.

The only thing i dislike on my care are the rear drums. I seen a few same modles as mine with Disk brakes. Im guessing it is 110% impossible to convert to disk brakes? or it could be done but with a big fat wod of cash ££££?

I think to keep your insurance happy, you will need to upgrade the brakes and possibly suspension to cope with the extra power.

the rear axle/assembly from an ST would fit your car. this would give you the discs on the back.
