Button Behind Panel - Drivers Side

Featured Replies

I replaced my footwell lights with some brighter LED bulbs and noticed there's a round hole in the side panel on the drivers side. Has same hole on the passenger side but it's covered up with a plug on that side. I've stuck my finger in to see what was behind and why it would be missing and it feels like there is a small button behind it.

any idea what it is or why the plug would be missing? assuming its been missing since i bought the car a few months back.

this image is a fiesta I think but it's the little hole on the top right of the picture:

I might be corrected but my Fiesta had the same .I think its the fuel cut off switch in case of an accident it pops out and you have to press it to reset
