Cambelt On Fiesta Mk4 87Kmiles R-Reg

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I bought a new fiesta zetec - s 1.4 two days ago and this is my first car. I am not insured on it yet, but i was reading through some of the previous receipts and about 6 months ago, 7k miles ago it mentioned need a new cambelt change. Do you think this may have already been done? Is there any way i can tell my self by looking at the cam belt? I have just spent all my money on this car and the last thing i need is to take to a garage and spend loads on this. As i cant afford to. How long should they last on these cars?

All help appreciated.

You should get it done if it's not done already. If it goes you're going to have a dead engine.

I had a quote of £170 for my MK5 fiesta (sold the car and didn't replace it), so isn't too pricey.
