Switch Sockets Under Drivers And Passenger Seat

Featured Replies

Hiya all

A daft qustion under both front seats i have noticed i have a electrical socket that connects to the seat byu the lever to put seat back, is this for heated seats if so how do they work or is it somethink else.

my car is a fiesta zetec climate 57

May be for the airbags or the seat pressure sensors to trigger the seat belt warning. It will only be for heated seats if you have the switches in the dash for them.

Are they connected or not connected?

the sockets are connected and the wiring then goes in the carpet.

In that case they are airbag/occupation sensors.

If heated seat's i think the wiring also plugs in there as well if its the same as the Focus

Air bag and seat belt sensors IMHO
