Another Central Locking Issue

Hi all, my car recently developed a fault whereby the driver's door won't open manually or via central locking. Initally i couldn't open the door from the inside or outside and had to get out by the passenger door. After functioning the central locking a couple of times the inner handle became operative again but not the outside one.

Any suggestions/advice would be gratefully appreciated.
