Hi there.

About to do my first cambelt change on a Focus 1.6 Zetec SE. Job looks ok but just wondering if anyone had any tips on pressing on the crankshaft pulley as its a taper & interferance pulley.

    Yep got the correct locking kit and also a flywheel lock to make sure timing doesnt move whilst changing belt. Also managed to find a tool to re-press the crank pulley back on before doing the pulley bolt up.

    Just make sure you torque the pulley bolt up correctly.

    Don't forget to manually turn the engine over via the crank pulley to make sure belt is seated and ensuring engine doesn't lock up before you turn engine over via the ignition.
