I have a question about my fiesta van, its a 1.8 diesel van.

Ever since i got her last year, she has been a bad starter. But only yesterday I wemnt 2 start her in the morning and she wouldnt go at all. I hav changed the battery but no joy. I am starting 2 think it might be the head that has gone.

Does anyone know if u can pressure test a diesel head or not, or even give me other things that may hav gone wrong!

Glow plugs failed.

could be the glow plugs or the power supply to them.

I did think that, but they hav been changed 8 times since new, the van is only 9 years old!

When i go to start it now, the battery just gives up after a minute or two, this is a diffrent battery from the original.

Its just as if something is taking all of the power from it before it has a chance to start.

Is it turning over at normal speed, or is it laboured?

t starts off at normal speed, but after a minute of turning it over trying to start it, it will labour heaverly, until it has no power at all.

Last ight i put the original battery on it n started it after about a minute. It took while this morning but did get there eventually.

Does anyone know if u can pressure test diesels and how do u do it?
