hi all just got myself a fiesta its a 02 flight model

great little car but i cant lock it when i try to the doors lock then open again straight away

it looks like the passenger side handle does not move when i try lock it

it locked yesterday but took a while

i had to climb out of the boot today as i can lock them from the inside with the doors shut

any ideas what the fault is? not really played about with locks before

    Passenger door lock solenoid.

    They can gum up or get water in them.

    just a clean out or do they usually need replacing

    Give it a shot of penetrating spray first.

    If that doesn't help then a replacement is likely needed.

    Check eBay to save money.
