Poor revving

Featured Replies

Hello

I have just bought a 1998 Ka and when it warms up it ticks over very poorly. It can range from approx. 800 rpm and then drop to almost a stalling speed.Any help will be very gratefully received thank you.

Graham.

check the petrol filter m8 change it.

it's locted on the near side at the rear under the car

looks like a drinks can

it mabe that your need to change the air filter aswell as it sounds like

it's getting starved of petrol or air ?

try running it without the air filter in place to see if it's that

or there may be a blockage or a crease in the petrol line nr the engine bayalso it's worth changing the spark plugs as that will cause it

there are so many items i can list for you to check but start with air filter & plugs & then let us know m8

keep us posted on your progress

Hello

I read somewhere else that the "idler valve " can cause similar symptons, is this a possibility?

If so, what needs to be done to this please?

I see a new one is only around twenty quid on E-Bay.

Thanks

Graham.
