Fiesta, Ticking Dashboard At 5 Second Intervals?

Featured Replies

Hi

I've got an S reg fiesta and recently I've noticed a ticking noise that appears to be coming out of the dashboard. It's a single tick, a bit like an individual tick of the indicator.

It's a regular noise, generally coming in about 5 second intervals but only when the car is in motion, when its idle or when braking, the dashboard doesn't tick.

Any ideas what could be causing this noise?

Many thanks for any replies!

strange.. does it tick if stand still but revving the car slightly?

Does it tick if rolling in Neutral?
