Fiesta Mk6 Brakes

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

Just looking for some help.

Driving home today brakes were one minute spongey and i was having to be press the pedel to the floor to get any braking. Next minute the car was braking when the pedal was right at the top and brakes were sharp.

Heard a few squeels on way home, Im assuming the two are connected.

Noticed that when i got home and parked on drive, slight hill, the car was held without me putting hand brake on or pressing brake pedal.

Any help is appreciated and anything i can check myself on the car just let me know.

Many thanks

Chris

First thing would be a general check of the brakes, pipes and fluid level. Also check the wheels spin freely

It would also be worth taking the drums off the rear for inspection if the fault hasn't been picked up after the above checks.
