Airbag light!

Featured Replies

Hi All,

i have a 1999 T-reg ford ka. Car runs fine but the airbag light flashes so i'm a bit worried!

I have read other aritcles with the same problem. some mention a lose connection with a yellow wire but i can't find it?

I have also tried counting the flashes but they don't seem to be in a pattern (flashes once every 4 seconds or so)

if any body can tell me what it may be please do and if it is a costly job :( Thanks again!

Theres a block connector under both front seats for the pre tensioners. Odds on one of these has come loose. They should be yellow.

i've tried locating these but still cant see them i'm not sure where i'm ment to look should i have the seat taken out?

No, just look under the seat and theres some wires that go into a multiplug. They work loose when the seats are moved. Common fault across the ford range.
