Dual Mass Flywheel

Featured Replies

After extensive searching I still cannot find an answer to this, nor can I find the flywheel as a product to buy (which would have answered my question)

Does the 2003 MK1 C Max 1.6 petrol Zetec have a dual mass flywheel or solid flywheel?

I know the 1.8 does have a dual mass.

Many thanks

IIRC it has a solid flywheel

I don't believe a petrol car has a dual mass flywheel as it is a device to smooth the running and iron out vibration from a diesel engine.

I stand ready to be corrected though.

Certain petrol engines now have them but I can't say for sure if yours is one of them, I suspect it doesn't have one though

I would suggest phoning ford and speaking with the parts dept, let them check it out on the computer.
