Chalmers67 Posted September 23, 2012 Share Posted September 23, 2012 Hi and help I have a 2000 Focus 1.8 TDDi and it keeps cutting out. The glow light flashes I switch off and then the car starts again sometimes after a couple of tries. The F Super Diagnostics says the three faults below. p1665 injection pump control module communications p1608 watchdog malfunction p0335 crankshaft position sensor a curcuit. Any ideas? alex1 Posted January 6, 2017 Share Posted January 6, 2017 Hi i have a similar problem with my Focus 2000 1.8ttdi with the glow plug light flashing and coming up with fault P1608 watchdog malfunction The power is not as it should be and occasionally it doesn't start and cuts out wile driving. Chalmers67 Posted January 6, 2017 Author Share Posted January 6, 2017 Sorry mate I never did get to the bottom of it and ended up scraping the motor. I was later told though that the accelerator pedal which is electronic can cause the problem that I had. Good luck and really really sorry I can't help as I know how it feels to be helpless.
