I'm hoping to upgrade the sound system in my focus 5dr 2004. Just wondering if anyone has fitted 6.5" component speakers in the front door. Ive read that abit of cutting might be required. anyone with any experience? is it possible without diy fittings?

thanks

Car manufacturers like ford do tend to fit odd sized speakers such as 6.2" component speakers.

Caraudiodirect.com stock and supply direct fit upgrade systems which are shaped to replace your specific model with brand name speakers from companys like JBL, Vibe, Pioneef, Fusion etc.

Wkrth checking them out before going DIY on it remember to check the depth of the door cavity and the depth of the 6.5" speaker

thanks lenny. i did look at sites similar to that, but id like a set of infinity speakers (going by past experience). i know the 5 1/2 fits perfectly but not really what i want.
