Ex Police Car Fitted The 6000 Cd , Speakers Don't Work. Please Can Anyone Help

Featured Replies

I bought a lovely focus estate which has been a pleasure to use except for one problem I would really live to have resolved. The speakers don't work. The year is 2005 and I have put a 6000 cd stereo in . It is an ex police car thank you for any help with this

Have you checked that the speakers are connected or even present?

Some police vehicles use the fitted speakers for the communications system.

There is defiantly one speaker there as the grille is cracked and I can see it.

For the police systems , they may have adapted the speaker wiring to use for the radios , you may need to trace the wiring behind the radio

Exactly, they've likely cut and spliced the loom.

Just to check when you say a 2005 focus is it the last of the old Mk1.5 or the first of the Mk2?

If it's a Mk2 I have a radio loom wiring diagram showing the speaker wire connections etc.

If a Mk2 is the correct car and if it will be of use to you I'll post it up later for you.

Thank you I'm at work at the moment so will check last thing or first thing for your post I. Think it's September 2005
