stooge75 Posted April 22, 2013 Share Posted April 22, 2013 I had a spare EGR & the 1 on my motor. decided to clean out inlet manifoid plus both egr's. noticed worse econ when all put back,so put it on the snap-on ethos,& egr wasnt opening up properly. tried the other one & not opening at all. all vacuums working etc,so can only guess that the egr's dont like carb cleaner. was at ford & the guy there said he's had a couple of egr's went kaput after being cleaned with carb cleaner type. done it efore though with no problems so bit puzzled. everything else works,getting voltage from everything,only egr's that come up as not opening.
