Gears Jamming When Trying To Change

i have a 2005 c max focus 1.6 petrol, my car has a intermitten problem with the gears sometimes the gear lever jams when it is in gear, and it can not be move to another gear, if you use a bit of force it can be move out of the gear then it is ok, you then can change gears with no problem.
