Steering Controls Not Working After Head Unit Swap

Featured Replies

I've just swapped out my original Ford head unit to a Sony 6CD head unit (the Ford oval shape).

My controls won't work though now?!?!

Any tips?

Also, does it read Mp3 CD's or does the MP3 designation mean I can get the USB lead and plug in an iPhone?

Is it a sony retro fit unit? or a genuine Sony/Ford unit??

there is a small connector on mine that is for Steering wheel controls as far as i remember, that if its not one of the sony/ford units and an actual Sony unit (Sounds weird but i know what i mean...) then you may need the converter.

Yes, Ford fit. It's the oval shape from a MK2.5

Yup. Baffled! There isn't a different steering control is there?

Sorted, it was a loose connection!
