Oil Around Injectors

Featured Replies

Hi im a newbie on here, I recently got a tdci 130bhp mondeo which im very happy with until the other day I popped to my local garage for a price on a oil and filter change, I was told the seals have gone and the engine was breathing alot and could possible be the piston rings? Has anybody got a clue on this as I want it sorted asap as I go away sat! Thanks liam

if its the seals on rocker cover top, they're not a big job to do.think they just prise out with screwdriver. also think sealant has to be used to put new 1's in though.(could be wrong though, anyone?)

what makes garage think its your pistonrings that are to blame? also, the engines supposed to breathe so to speak, thats why you have ventilation valves. how well do you know this garage? trust them?
