Aux Connection For I-Pod

My aux adaptor has needed a wobble around to get it working properly but now seems to have a permanent fault with sound only coming out of certain speakers and not having any lyrics. The pod works fine normally. Is the fault just the adaptor and if so is it easily replaced.

    The Ford adaptors are junk.

    The contacts inside move when you push the 3.5 plug in.

    The only way to remove the socket from it's mount is to snap the clips.

    Buy an aftetmarket one from eBay with a 3.5 on the end of it and cut out the midfle man.
