How To Replace Front Door Speakers Mondeo Zetec

Featured Replies

My factory built in speakers (front) have a muffled sound and i am trying to find out what size and specs of speakers to replace them with. Any instructions to follow when removing the panel from the door and any precautions or tools needed.

Thanks.

Hello and welcome to the forum

Yes, the speakers on some models can be a bit dull - turning up the treble on the head unit can help

There may be additional screws/ fixings you have missed hidden in the recesses/ behind covers, to watch out for if the door panel does not come off easily

Search around for a guide online (including this forum) or invest in a Haynes manual - they can be handy for this sort of thing

Finally - why not take pictures of what you do, and right up a guide for the forum, + with where you got the speakers desscribing the difference in sound etc
