Lenny
Hi all, I'd like to talk about induction resonator removal, Fiesta people with 1.6TDCi may have fitted the J1 induction kit which includes a smooth straight pipe feeding directly from the induction filter to the turbo. This replacement pipe doesn't have the resonator section to restrict flow Resulting in a flutter tone from the turbo when the accelerator is released. Ultimately I'd like to purchase the pipe from a fiesta J1 kit Fit it to the focus air box with a K&N57s filter and lid Followed by a focus RS dual inlet scoop But for the monument I'm curious about the resonator itself, Does anyone know if its a flap or centre section inside? Any info on this would be great, If its got something inside it then I'll remove mine and bore it out with a Dremal It will do until I get a J1 induction hose for the DV6 engine. Fiesta owners who have fitted the J1 could look inside their stock induction pipe and tell us if its got anything inside the section closest to the turbo or is it straight through?
