Mk5 Fiesta Race Car Project

Featured Replies

I thought you guys would like to see what I have been getting up to this year.

Hope you like it people!!!

I have had plenty mk4 and mk5 fiesta's and beginning of this year I decided that I want to build a Race car so had a few here and picked my Green one out as the colour stands out the best compared to the rest.

Here is a photo of when I first bought it....

It just look dead boring to look at and need to be brightened up inside/engine bay and outside.post-45853-0-72755200-1375825861_thumb.jpost-45853-0-56367000-1375825939_thumb.j

I first bought it about a year ago and it was a non runner so started looking into why i wouldn't spark and after checking the spark plugs/coil pack/ crank position senor/timing/engine bay wiring loom etc I finally found out that it was the interior loom under the dash had been burnt so not too sure how that happened so replaced the loom and then finally got it running.post-45853-0-52636000-1375826175_thumb.j

I then took it for a test drive to see how it runs and it seemed to be nothing really there as in power and handling wise so that's when I had idea's in my mind to strip it down to its bare shell and build it up as a race car!

The engine bay looked abit tired and needed brightening up along with the rest of the car!!!post-45853-0-06694400-1375826337_thumb.j
