Speed Sensor Focus Mk1

Featured Replies

Are the cheaper speed sensors ok to go with or is it worth going with a genuine part? Of course genuine is better but I was wonder how reliable the non official parts are whether they didn't do the job so well.

Also can anyone shed any light on any average speeds for certain gears?

My 1.8 mk1 focus seems to be pretty slow out of first going up to about 3000rpm to 15 mph the 2nd gear up to 3000 and around 25 mph

Does that seem ok or is the faulty vss having a part to play

on my old mk 1.5 I went with ford genuine part only cost me £35.00

with year guarantee there a sod to get out
