Service Light Is On

I have an 04 street ka which i bought a few months back, the only problem is, is that the service light is on. How do you get it switched off and how much is it.

    I didnt think it had a service light. If it is an amber light it is the engine management light indicating an issue. If its flashing then you should get it fixed asap.

    You do get the eml light coming on sometimes due to some anomoly in the sensors and a cheap code reader can normally clear this. I would check the code first though as it may keep coming back.

    Try this first-

    Hold down the throttle and brake pedals simultaneously.

    Turn ignition on.

    Wait 15-20 seconds whilst still depressing brake and throttle pedals.

    If it's a service light it should go off.
