Hi All. I am new to this forum..... Here goes.... I have a 2006 2.5 V6 Mondeo. I have a headlight bulb gone. I do believe it takes the Xenon HID bulbs. I have had the bulb replaced & its still not working. The capaciter thing at rear of light is working normally. Its not the fuse by the battery. Could it still be a faulty bulb or can anybody help me out on the matter.

Hello and welcome to the forum

I was under the impression that the Mk3 used regular halogen headlight bulbs, you must not touch them with your bare hands

ive no idea what you mean by "the capacitor thing" is it dipped or main beam that is not working

i believe they have a relay for each dipped beam light, and a fuse for that relay as well as a fuse for the headlight

just looked it up,

a relay for dipped beam, listed no1 in engine bay fusebox

a seperate fuse for each headlight from the relay...listed as f16 & f18 in engine bay fusebox

also lists fuses for headlamps in interior fuse box...f85 & f86....think they are for main beam

if not bulbs or fuses, normally ends up to be control module thats inside headlight but you can use a scanner to access headlight system and find either a fault code, view live data, or actuate various parts of system individually to help diagnose fault...
