Hi all i have a V reg 1800 deisel van mk4 and i have just bought it for work but the temp gauge sit right off the top by hot and doent move when the van is switched off

The heaters are blowing hot air and the guy i got the van off said it was just the temp sensor so i bought 1 yesterday but i dont know where it goes lol

So can anyone help tell me where it is or even better maybe a pic?

    i think the sender is located on the side of the thermostat housing, also check that the wireing is not earthing out as that would also give you the high reading on the gauge.
